It is much easier to bury a problem

than to solve it.

Sometimes not not seeing things

can be a blessing.

It was not the truth

they wanted, but an illusion

they could bear to live with.

Maturity is when

you realize that

New year won't

change your life.

We can evade reality, but we

cannot evade the consequences

of evading reality.

We can ignore reality,

but we cannot ignore

the consequences of

ignoring reality.

The truth will set you free, but 

first it will make you miserable.

Who looks outside, dreams.

Who looks inside, awakes.

The trouble with most of us is

that we'd rather be ruined by

praise than saved by 

criticism.

Sometimes people don't want to hear the 

truth because they don't want their illusions 

destroyed.

Self-knowledge is no guarantee

of happiness, but it is on the side

of happiness and can supply the

courage to fight for it.

Above all, don't lie to yourself. The man who

lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes

to such a pass that he cannot distinguish the

truth within him, or around him, and so loses 

all respect for himself and for others.
